These brochures aim to inform patients and to complete preoperative consultations and thus facilitate communication between the public and the plastic and cosmetic surgeons who have their services. These brochures are intended for the clientele of plastic surgeons across Canada and were prepared by the joint national committee.

To date, almost 1 million copies have been sold across Canada and are used by thirds of Canadian plastic surgeons.

The Canadian Medical Protective Association recognizes the value of this type of brochure as a supplement to obtaining informed consent and the dialogue that the surgeon recognizes with the patient.

Each brochure is sold in sets of 20 at a price of 50$.
